It is time for the TMCC AGM, usually the first Sunday in November.

According to the by-laws we must post the notice and email to the membership a minimum of ten days in advance.

Thus for a November 4 meeting we must post now.

This is also our elections for the Board of Directors.

Usually the haul out day is used to speak to the prospective new members and those leaving their board positions.

Paul will be assembling an agenda.

Please note that there are road closures in the immediate future:

    - October 13th - A portion of Unwin will be closed.

    - October 21st - The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon will certainly confound access to the waterfront.  Details of the marathon-related closures are available by doing a cut and paste of the following URL into your web browser:

    http://www.torontowaterfrontmarathon.com/the-weekend/road-closures/

For most boaters, the best recommended access will be via the DVP.

For others, a detailed list of street closures is available by scrolling past the map (at the above URL).

    Good luck... Dave D.

Please be aware that (as identified previously) if your vessel is remaining on the hard over the winter in our yard, then you will need to signify your agreement to our updated 'Winter Storage Agreement', accessed via 'Members Only' -> Downloads and then found in the 'Organization, Rules and Agreements' area.

As this document requires your signature, the preferred procedure is for you (in advance of Haul-Out) to download and print it, then sign it, scan it and email it back to tmcc.membership (as noted on the form) along with copies of insurance coverage.  Alternatively, you would bring the documentation with you at Haul-Out.

    Thanks..........Dave D.

    Best regards........ Dave D.

As was the case last year, we are requiring that members formally 'Register' their commitment to winter storage at TMCC.  We are not doing this to exclude anyone.  Rather, we are attempting to get a clear understanding of how our fleet of boats (some big, some small, all precious) can best fit into our yard (a very limited resource ... facing increasing demands).  Note that there will be a mandatory cut-off date of October 6th for registrations.

    To proceed:

    1. Log-on to the TMCC website with your email address and TMCC password.

    2. At the list of 'upcoming events' on the Home page (just below the count-down clock), click on the 2018 haul-out event. Then click on 'Register' and follow the dialogue. Remember to 'Confirm' at the end of the process and you are done.

     Best regards..........Dave D.

Please be aware that Sunday October 21st at 0800 is the scheduled date for our Haul-Out.

    As was the case previously:

    - there will be a mandatory cut-off date (now being discussed) for online registration for that event and YOU MUST FORMALLY MAKE YOUR INTENTIONS KNOWN by that cut-off time.

More details will be forthcoming ASAP.

    Best regards....... Dave D.

Given Bernard's initiative and efforts in clearing and recycling some of the surplus scrap metal found throughout our yard, TMCC Members may be invited to savour the rewards of that venture ... culminating in a Mid-September 'Lamb Roast' (maybe chicken too).  As usual, this event would be BYOB.  Further details are expected via the teamwork of Lasporte, Clements and Paleshi.  Watch for further updates.

    Nicely done.
